White Mountains, New Hampshire
While peak fall foliage varies annually, the 100-mile White Mountain
Trail typically delivers brilliant fall colors from the end of September
through the second week of October. Yet, even after the leaves have
faded and the leaf-peeping crowds have gone home, meandering this
National Scenic Byway reveals classic New England fall scenes—historic
covered bridges, granite mountain peaks, dramatic gorges, rushing
cascades, and bucolic Colonial-era farmhouses and barns.
San Juan Islands, Washington
The San Juan Islands are a spectacular and secluded destination known
for their natural beauty and relaxing pace called "island time."
Comprised of over 700 islands, the San Juans have become a popular
paddling and vacation destination and are regularly included in National
Geographic Magazine's Best Places... listings. Located less
than 3 hours from Seattle, and less than 4 hours from Vancouver, BC -
home of the 2010 Winter Olympics, the islands provide an ideal blend of
quaint harbors, artistic and historic sites, and outdoor adventure
opportunities.

Massachusetts, USA
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts has been a significant part of
American history ever since the first settlers arrived and set up
Plymouth Colony. Since then, the state has been a hotbed of political
and intellectual activity – the state is just as famous for the Boston
Tea Party as it is for the incredible concentration of high-octane
academic facilities it possesses. The western part of the state runs
into the Appalachians and has beautiful wild scenery, and Boston has
enough attractions (and beer!) to keep even the most finicky traveler
satisfied for weeks. Considered the cradle of liberty and also one of he
most beautiful states in the Union, any visitor to New England should
certainly take the time out of their schedule to see what the
Commonwealth has to see. The next time you are in New England, come
check out the Bay State and enjoy all that dynamic, beautiful
Massachusetts has to offer.
New Hampshire, USA
This state has a proud tradition of firsts - namely, it was the first
post-colonial sovereign nation in the United States, having broken away
from Great Britain back in January of 1766. Obviously, it joined the
newly formed United States six months later. It’s also famous for the
New Hampshire Primary, which is the first primary in the US presidential
cycle. The license plates still carry the motto “Live Free or Die,”
embodying the commitment of New Hampshire’s people to political issues.
Manchester is considered one of the most tax friendly cities in the
United States, attesting to the important of personal and political
freedoms. Combined with the incredible educational history that this
area of the country has, New Hampshire is an eye-opening place to visit.
The nature here is breathtaking, and you’re sure to enjoy your visit!
