Porlamar, Venezuela

Porlamar, located in Nueva Esparta in Venezuela, is the main city on Isla de Margarita. Home to a large number of restaurants and shops, the city serves as the commercial centre of the island. With a population of around 210,000 inhabitants, Porlamar is home to around one third of the island’s population.

Situated in the heart of the Caribbean Sea is the beautiful Isla de Margarita, a by-product of the convergence of two peninsulas through an isthmus. This island is the largest of the three islands in the state of Nueva Esparata and is located off the northern coast of Venezuela.
