Gordon’s Bay is a harbour town with excellent beaches, which lies against the Helderberg. Gordon’s Bay, about 45 minutes’ drive away from Cape Town, is named  after Robert Jacob Gordon, a Dutch colonel, explorer and acting governor  of the Cape. A visitor’s paradise, the town boasts long Blue Flag status beaches and a good climate.
Along the beachfront lies a stretch of pubs, cafés, shopping malls  and restaurants, where visitors can enjoy a variety of meals or just  relax and watch the sun set. Apart from bustling beach life, visitors can also enjoy the nearby Helderberg wine route, with over 25 wineries and cellars.
