In eastern
Venezuela, the huge river delta of the
Orinoco River is called as the
Orinoco Delta.
This is a region in the shape of a fan through which several
distributataries of the Orinoco river flow and mix with the sea. The
Orinoco Delta is also called as the
Deltaic System. It is one of the nine geographical areas of
Venezuela.
The culture of this place is largely determined by the Warao Indians
which are the native inhabitants of this delta. These people spend
their daily life hunting and gathering objects in the surrounding
forests, fishing in canoes in the distributaries of the Orinoco River and live in wooden houses raised on stilts.
Nice.
