Valencia was founded on 25 March 1555 by Captain Alonso Días Moreno. Located in the valley of the Coastal Range Mountains, about 150 km from Caracas. It is the capital of Carabobo, a state in Venezuela. With an area of 2, 323 sq km and a population of 1,400,000, Valencia is the fourth largest city in Venezuela.
